Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sentry Security Bot ("Sentry", "we", "our") collects, uses, and stores information when you use our Discord bot or our website at sentrybot.eu.

We collect and store the following information:

Through Discord OAuth (when you log in to the dashboard):

• Your Discord user ID, username, and avatar
• Your email address (required by Discord's OAuth scope)
• A list of Discord servers you manage (used only to show you your own servers)
• Your OAuth access token and refresh token (stored encrypted, used to fetch your server list)

Through the Bot (when it is active in your server):

• Discord server ID, name, and icon
• Discord user IDs of members involved in moderation actions (bans, kicks, etc.)
• Message content involved in scam/ad/token-leaker detection (not stored; processed in memory only)
• Server configuration settings you save via the dashboard
• Aggregated event statistics (ban counts, raid events, etc.)

Premium:

• The redeem code you used and the date it was activated
• Which server a premium code was activated for

We use collected data to:

• Operate and display the web dashboard
• Authenticate you via Discord and maintain your session
• Apply your saved configuration to the bot in your server
• Enforce server security rules (the core function of the bot)
• Manage and track premium subscriptions
• Send important notifications (e.g. premium expiry DM) to server owners
• Detect and prevent abuse of the service

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.

Server configuration data is retained as long as the bot remains in your server or until you request deletion. User account data is retained as long as you have an active account. OAuth tokens are refreshed automatically and old tokens are overwritten.

To request deletion of all data associated with your Discord account or server, contact us at support@sentrybot.eu. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Data is stored on servers in the European Union / United States via Neon (PostgreSQL). We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed session tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following third-party services:

• Discord— authentication and bot API. Discord's own privacy policy applies to data processed by Discord.
• Neon / Vercel — cloud infrastructure for our database and website hosting.

You have the right to:

• Request access to data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent (by revoking the Discord OAuth authorization in your Discord settings and contacting us)

Sentry is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of Sentry after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
